OUR KASBAH: AIT ISFOUL
KASBAH AIT ISFOUL
A DESERT SANCTUARY TO GATHER • WANDER • CREATE
Kasbah Ait isfoul was founded by Mohamed Yassine and is in the process of being lovingly restored by Kamal Yassine and myself. The tales and treks of bringing Kamal's grandfathers dream to life, while reclaiming its original beauty and charm. This small castle, nestled in a Date Palm Oasis, shares its richly layered Berber culture, traditions, with the modern simplicity of desert life.
In collaboration with local artisans and craftsmen we have used traditional techniques and reclaimed materials whenever possible. Ait isfoul has soul and is in the heart of an authentic Berber village. We offer you a local experience with an attention to detail and comforts so you can Gather • Wander • Create.

YOUR GUIDES: MICHELLE + KAMAL
Michelle is a visual artist, photographer, and above all else, an explorer.
"Travel and connections are my muse, transforming and creating are my passions. I have traversed the globe, wandering in search of inspiration while looking for a place that called me home. This is my story of creating a life in the desert with my nomad."
Kamal is a local Berbere, born and raised in the desert of North Africa. Passionate about the desert, he maintains and shares his simple, desert way of life. He is also an avid philosopher, photographer and musician.
Kamal loves curating handmade experiences for his clients while placing them in magical locations in the desert and beyond, but finds often the true journey they go on is into themselves.
